Shooting 500T Film w/ Scoopic Maximum ASA of 380

Recommended Posts

I wanted to see if I could get any advice about shooting Kodak 7219 500T film in my Canon Scoopic. The ASA speed maxes out at 380. Will this overexpose everything? Should I only shoot with interior lighting? Could it be used in daylight with an ND filter? I'm new to this, so I'm still learning a lot.

Thanks for any advice!

You can also go manual and use a handheld meter at 500T. As Dirk says however you'll be fine at 320. If you are shooting outside in bright light, try some Vision 3 50D. It's an amazing stock and perfect for outside activities.

500T is fine outside (with ND and 85 filters) but I'd save it for indoor/lower light situations and go with 50D when you're outside, especially in the spring and summer.

If you are just transferring, you can get away without an 85 filter and have the colorist adjust but it's always best to get it as close as possible to what you want in camera.
