christian mann
hey, with the later software updates it seems to be impossible to have peaking ONLY on the MON out and NOT on MON out and REC out at the same time. Does anyone know how to bypass this? It can be quite annoying when directors and clients have peaking on the monitors but still pretty helpful for focus pulling to have it on the onboard monitor.... thanx! Kar Wai Ng
Peaking and status info should not appear on the REC OUT unless the REC OUT has been set to clone the MON OUT. When in high speed mode, the REC OUT is automatically set to clone the MON OUT.
christian mann
I believe the software update is set in a way that REC out is set to clone MON out. A DIT also couldn't figure out how to "unclone" the REC out...
Kar Wai Ng
Were you shooting 2K instead of HD? This also forces REC OUT to be a MON OUT clone.
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted April 10, 2014 Premium Member Share Posted April 10, 2014 It's always helpful to be more specific about your camera settings. According to the latest upgrade release notes, setting the ProRes recording resolution to 2K limits the options for REC OUT to ARRIRAW or MON OUT clone. When SxS recording is deactivated in this state, the REC OUT limitation remains. To get a clean HD image on the REC OUT, you need to switch back to HD recording before deactivating the SxS module. christian mann
I see. Indeed we were at 2K when I came across this problem. Will check what it looks like with HD. Thanks.
