Alexander Boyd
Hello everyone, I have a simple question: which adapter should I use when planning to use a lens in Arri Standard Mount on a camera with Aaton Mount? Is a "Arri Bayonet to Aaton" adapter doing the job? I can't seem to find a "Arri Standard to Aaton" adapter. Thanks in advance for your help! Brian Drysdale
Arri Bayonet mounts work in a different way. Usually standard mount adapters have grub screws that tighten into the groove on the lens mount, Bayonet mount adapters usually have a rotary action that compresses onto the two projecting lugs that project from that lens mount. Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted August 15, 2014 Premium Member Share Posted August 15, 2014 Try this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/251393083950?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=107 It's a little confusing because most Standard mount lenses will fit a camera with Arri Bayonet mount (Arri designed the newer B mount to still accept older lenses), but it usually doesn't work that way with adapters. Alexander Boyd
Thanks Bryan, thanks Dom! Les Bosher told me he'd manufacture one for around 200GBP, so I'll either go with him or try the one in the ebay link above. Thanks again for your help! Jean-Louis Seguin
I can sell you an adapter that will work with both Arri standard mounts and bayonet mounts. It's steel and very well made. Price $150 USD. PM me if you're interested. Cheers, Jean-Louis
