B4 to S-16 adapter Abakus Scientific 132 - EUROPE (Germany) - 1749 USD or 1399 Euro plus postage and in Europe plus VAT

 

Sony, MTF (and I think RED used to) relabel this brillant adapter from Abakus Scientific and then charge a lot more (B&H lists both with 3500USD).

 

For Sony F5 F55 2K/HD window, RED windowed, BMPCC, GH4 in 4K, Bolex Digital... A cherry picked superb sample from Abakus, I checked it in projection with my Canon HJ 18x28 and saw no quality loss. Results are simply stunning with a HD lens that good. Bought in 2009 it is the latest HD generation converter and coatings have to my knowledge not changed since. Rear and front lens pristine, a little bit of dust inside, signs of use on the body (see images).

Hi, I'm using this adapter on Blackmagic Cinema Camera with Fujinon B4 HD lens and I can confirm it produces very nice images :-)
