Elliot J Jackson
Hello Forum, Has anyone had any experience using the LIFX bulbs for practical lights or in any of their lighting setups? I am thinking of getting a few for the amount of control you have through the app. Any problems or advantages of the bulb? or examples of work with them being implemented? Best. Jean Gonzales
I bought one with the idea to use it on set. I ended up using it in my house only. Couple of reasons: -They are bulky. A lot taller then a regular bulb. This results in not being able to fill are shade or something. -You need a network. This means bringing a router with you. -Power. They are not powerful. Greg Mcfarlane King
We used these LIFX bulbs last week with good results. Has anyone had experience using them for high speed shooting, and do they have flicker issues? We're looking to shoot 120FPS Cheers, Greg
timHealy
They could be useful as are the Phillips cue. I haven’t had the opportunity but having a set with a whole bunch of practicals controlled by an app while one is sitting by dit could be helpful at times.
