Arthur Sanchez Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Hey camera people!!! Some EBM cameras have battery power supply... anyone have any thoughts on just switching that out for a regular 12V power supply like what's on you laptops. only gotcha i see is you need power!... these batteries that are made for it are expensive and hard to find. Well I was going to do that to the EBMs unless someone can tell me why not! Thanks, Your replies are welcome, Arthur!
Jean-Louis Seguin Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 The camera has no on/off switch of it's own so one has to be included as part of the power supply. Jean-Louis
Arthur Sanchez Posted January 28, 2017 Author Posted January 28, 2017 Hello Jean-Louis, Well yes it does have an on/off... it'd on the grip holder... that where the battery would go... but instead I'll make a plug same as the ones already there where you connect the power supply (A/C) there could be an out board battery pack just not the original ones. thought?
Brenton Lee Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 I have an EBM that runs on external power ... it looks like they modified the base of it to include a solenoid or something for the on/off switch and it has a barrel jack, maybe 6mm. Works great.
Arthur Sanchez Posted January 28, 2017 Author Posted January 28, 2017 Good Morning Brenton... I'm having trouble trying to visualize what you are describing... could you send a picture? thanks!
