our dp uses the ronin with f5 and raw recorder. should work ok if you balance it correctly (may need additional weights to shift the balance) and you will need to have the extension kit for ronin

AFAIK..F55 cant be powered from the ronin batts... F5 is ok.. but 55 power draws too much.. you need the XL arms .. its really heavy, so pretty much need the easy rig with the extended arm.. popular opinion seems to be your better off with a A7 or RED.. Alexa mini etc.. F55 is just too big..and heavy..

I would definitely check it out first before buying one/ hoping to use one on a shoot with little prep time..

You can lose the battery from the camera if you put a battery plate on the Ronin crossbar. Then you can power the F55 with a right angle XLR4 to d-tap cable.

But as Robin says, the camera is not an ideal fit for the Ronin, especially if you're adding the R5 Raw module. And the XL arms generally make it more difficult to balance, not really worth it in my opinion. The Movi M15 would be better.

A nice lightweight remote follow focus for gimbal use is the Heden Carat with M26VE motor. The MDR is tiny.

The main thing is the shorten the camera as much as possible to avoid having to use the extension arms. The v-mount battery and the raw module make it longer.
