As a teen in 1976, I worked 3 months laying concrete in 100 F degree weather to buy a Minolta SRT MCII for $350.

 

$170 was more than you think...

Yeah, a simple inflation sum-up yields $797.21 for $180 from 1976 to now.

 

The Revisquick splicer deserves to be named correctly. Its inventor was Carlos Rivas, 1950.

Look at the rewinds. Very cheap back then.

 

Just bought a used set of rewinds for $140...took 6 months to find them too.

 

I bought a 2 gang synchronizer for $12 + SH. So sometimes things are a good deal now.
