Richardson Leao
Thanks for the help. The serial no. (i suppose that is the no. in the base of the camera) is 209366. Bolex H16 Reflex. many thanks!
Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted September 4, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted September 4, 2019 So you have a RX-3, big base, T-I lever. To remove the finder you first undo the four screws in the tube cover. Then you can pull the cover towards the front and up. If never opened, it will have (most certainly) rotten foam rubber underneath. After that you flip the finder dowser up and undo the four large-head screws on the tube base. Then you lift the tube vertically off with a little wiggling. On reassembly make sure the ocular slot coincides with the stud on the rear mounting plate. Chris Peters
Same question for me, but I have a Reflex camera serial number 136500. I don't see any screws on the viewfinder cover....?
Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted December 29, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted December 29, 2020 With the early reflex model the eyecup needs to be unscrewed. Use a rubber grip pad and, if necessary, pipe tongs.
Joshua Wisdom
I'm attempting to remove the viewfinder eyecup from my early model reflex H16 myself but it seems very stiff and doesn't seem to budge at all even with tongs, are they known to be quite stiff? Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted February 18 Premium Member Share Posted February 18 Yes, can be corroded. May take quite some force.
