Francesco Cantoro
Hello, What do you think are the best ND filters for film? Thank you!
Bruce Greene
If you are asking about shooting on film (not digital), then I would think any simple .ND filter would work fine, such as Tiffen etc. .3, .6, .9 are usually enough for shooting on film. Francesco Cantoro
Thank you for the answer Bruce. Yes, I was talking about shooting on film. I've used Tiffen IRND on digital but I noticed a slight green tint on the more dense ones, from 1.2 and more
Toto D Guerra
I second Bruce. No need for IR correction on film. Opt for a piece of actual glass tinted in the mass, like a tiffen, schneider, century etc.

Oliver Janesh Christiansen
Have you considered using a variable ND filter? Speeds up traditional ND filter changes on set and gives you more flexibility... The Cinefade VariND can be remotely controlled from a LCS or directly from the buttons on the filter. Panavision also announced a LCND a while ago but don't think it's available yet
