Nicolas Camire
I just picked one of these up, what a beautiful piece of equipment/history.. Getting it set up for the first time I'm noticing that it sounds like it's running completely fine at all speeds, but on the insides when I try to use the inching knob to activate the registration pin, nothing happens. Is there something wrong with this camera? Everything else seems perfect but just nothing turning inside. I'm awaiting an order of film and a take up reel so I can truly give it a test with film inside, but I don't even think I'll be able to load it if I can't get that registration pin to move? Is there something wrong with this camera? Should the FPS counter and inside parts be moving even without film in it? I cannot wait to get my hands dirty learning this beautiful format. Hopefully this isn't too much of a set back! Nic
Leanne Summers
Have you tried opening the film gate open and turning it,and seeing if the registration pin moves? On mine, when it's not loaded, nothing else on the inside moves. Also you can use it to move the shutter a bit if it's blocking the viewfinder, so that should be moving too. I picked one up in February and love it. Edited April 29, 2020 by Leanne Summers
