Berry Spinx
Used it on a dana dolly and easy rig. Doable but want something lighter for gimbal use. Curious as to why they haven't made anything lighter recently.
Brian Flexmore
Have you tried the Angenieux 20-120mm zoom? It has similar aesthetics to the time period. I don't have on in the office but I'm sure it's at least 2Kg lighter. I don't feel you can quantify and reproduce the look of an older lens with a modern one with filtration. There's nuances like flaring/glaring/coating/field curvature/falloff etc. which offer an inherent optical quality or "look" which can't be replaced with just a filter. Just my 2 cents.
