Jacob Robinson Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Hi, I've recently acquired an Aaton LTR 7 and was wondering if it was possible to fit a variable shutter in the LTR to allow flicker free filming at 24fps in 50hz countries? I know some lights will be fine, my concern is practical lights which will pulse with a 180˚ shutter at 24fps. Thanks, Jacob
Brian Drysdale Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 From the Aaton 7 LTR sales brochure of 1979, there was an optional 188/172 shutter for shooting 50HZ 24fps that you could purchase at the time. 1
Jacob Robinson Posted April 4, 2024 Author Posted April 4, 2024 Thanks Brian! Now I need to source one...

Brian Drysdale Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 I used to shoot with a CP16R, which didn't have a 180 degree shutter, at 25fps, without flicker issues under lights, but TVs had a bent bar, instead of a straight one.
