Eric Quao Posted April 26, 2021 Author Share Posted April 26, 2021 1. The zoom ring has a high/stress point at the 25mm marking. 2. The T-stop ring has some stress/high points between the 4 and 16 stops. my assumption is that it just the ring needs to be cleaned out from the dirt build up over time. Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted April 27, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted April 27, 2021 Most likely the rings just need a clean and re-lube as you surmise but it could of course also be an issue with the mechanics further in. Impossible to diagnose without inspection. If this is a lens you have recently acquired and you want to use it for work that matters to you then I would recommend getting a lens tech to check it.
