Daniel D. Teoli Jr.
Does the B roll mimic the main camera as far as framing and is just shot from another angle. Or can the B roll be a wide shot of the whole scene? It is my understanding that wide shots are called Master shots. Edited October 19, 2021 by Daniel D. Brian Drysdale
The master shot may not be a wide shot, it's a long one (timewise) that captures all or most of the action in a scene. Often it is a wide shot, but it can be more complex than that, Spielberg is a director who can have fluid master shots (not always involving camera movement).
