Aneesh Kumar
It does not cover S16 as per this database. Very handy. Jeremy Borg
The original question was posted awhile ago, but for posterity: The Angenieux Type R7 5.9mm T2 lens was mostly manufactured prior to the Super16 format gaining popularity and was originally designed to cover a Standard 16 frame. Upon the popularization of the Super16 format, some of these lenses were later modified by third parties to cover the larger Super16 frame - often with slight vignetting at the corners. Originally, the lens seems to have been produced exclusively in an Arri Standard mount with some adapters available (Vidicon, Cameflex, etc.), but it was later often modified by third parties with other mounts, including Arri PL. It's a fast, fixed-focus lens, so from Close Focus to Infinity, everything's in focus. It's reasonably sharp wide-open, and increasingly sharp at deeper stops. Here's an image of the Angenieux 5.9mm T2 wide angle lens which has been modified to cover the Super16 format and includes an Arri PL mount.
