I want to use the ESM motor that one would normally use for an H16. However I have the question. Would it suit the bolex H8Rex4 or would it harm the camera as an H8 run half of the frame as a H16 would do? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Premium Member Robert Ditto Posted February 25, 2022 Premium Member Share Posted February 25, 2022 You have no worries in using the ESM motor on your H8 RX-4 DS8. The ESM motor works on the 1:1 driveshaft of the camera, so it is turning the shutter at the same speed whether it is 16mm or 8mm. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
