Premium Member Brian Wells Posted October 5, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted October 5, 2005 i'm hoping he will send me a list of changes (if so i'll let you all know) Hi Jason, Maybe this will help (it's a list of changes...) https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/sal...fo/ibc/132.html The most notable, I think, is the remote iris control (being the only "fixed lens" MiniDV camera with this feature) and a few other software updates, like correct aspect ratio in viewfinder when using the anamorphic adapter (I think...) Basically, it's a minor revision... So, same 4x3 as the DVX100. No native 16x9. Hope this helps. B

Alvin Pingol
The most notable, I think, is the remote iris control (being the only "fixed lens" MiniDV camera with this feature) I beg to differ! http://pro.jvc.com/prof/Attributes/feature...el_id=MDL101411
Jason Hamilton
Functionally the AGDVX100B is the same camera as the A. Some of the changes include: Recessed Picture/Scene mode wheel, fixed detent feature. Increased travel on LCD screen.. bends forward. Camera base that holds the tripod mounting holes is now exposed, can be replaced if you strip the threads. New tape drive carriage to conform to Environmental regulations. Stronger door latches. Ability to turn off ALL the displays in the viewfinder by holding down the "Display" button for a few seconds. LCD display switchable aspect ratio. Normal 4:3 switched in menu to 16:9. As for pricing, we haven't set a price yet, but stay tuned to www.dvcpro.ca for the latest product information.
Tim Tyler
Ability to turn off ALL the displays in the viewfinder by holding down the"Display" button for a few seconds. I wonder if any of the software upgrades could be applied to 100a units by an authorized service rep?
Jason Hamilton
that's a good call, not sure if the upgrades are interdependent or not
Jason Hamilton
well the dvx100b is officially released, haven't read anything about performance or any hands on comparisons between it and previous versions though.
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted October 31, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted October 31, 2005 Hi, I can't help but feel that you'd have to be spectacularly thumb-fingered to strip the 1/4" Whitworth thread out of a DVX-100! Phil
