Paul Joseph
Hello, I wanted to find out from Cinematographers who have used cameras like Sony Venice, FX9 & FX6 & whether they noticed any change in color when using the Variable Electronic ND filter built in vs an optical 4x5.65 ND filter from Schneider like the Rhodium FSND. I wanted to get some thoughts from everyone before going for a set of Rhodium's for my kit. Thanks Paul
Hannes Famira
Hey Paul, do you know of any variable electronic ND filters that are not integrated into a camera but can be used in a matte box? I see that Panasonic had something in the pipeline but I have not seen anything hit the market yet. Have you?
Johanan Pandone
honestly it sounds like amazing technology since they're optical and not some kind of analog gain trick on the sensor. Sony has IR filtration built into the sensor but I can't find a straight answer about if the amount of filtration scales in proportion to the ND (as it should)
