Tim Tyler Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Gunther Machu and Florian Milz at CineD have tested the Alexa 35 and found that it has more dynamic range than any previously tested camera. https://www.cined.com/arri-alexa-35-lab-test-rolling-shutter-dynamic-range-and-latitude-plus-video/
Maurice Morales Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 I was just on a commercial with the Alexa35 and Cooke s4’s this week.
Giray Izcan Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 How was it? How did you like working with it? Did you use any of the textures?
Carl Looper Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 (edited) So many stops it almost exceeds the dynamic range of the test system. Any more stops and you would be using the Alexa 35 to evaluate the test system. Ha ha. Edited November 26, 2022 by Carl Looper clarification 1
Jon O'Brien Posted August 31, 2023 Posted August 31, 2023 Great camera but it's still a video camera. Scanned 35mm and 16mm film create a more compelling look for a feature movie on the big screen in my opinion. Film has screen presence. And filmmaking street cred. You can't lose with film. 1
