Jaehyun Kim
I recently bought a classic soft filter.I bought a quarter of the new product. However, I purchased 1/2,1/4,1/8 from eBay.The concentration of the recently purchased 1/4 = used 1/4 is not rightA quarter of used purchases are too strong. And one-half is weaker than one-eightOne-eight is stronger than a quarter of a new product. Why is it so unbalanced? Jaehyun Kim
old 1/4 > new 1/4 > old 1/8 > old 1/2 This is the order. It's a messDoes this filter have a fake filter?
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted November 14, 2022 Premium Member Share Posted November 14, 2022 First see if the filter is labeled "Schneider-Kreuznach" or just "Schneider" and separate them into the two groups if you see both labels. After the first year or so their Hollywood Black Magic filters being manufactured, the design was adjusted and the filters relabeled, but I don't remember if "Schneider-Kreuznach" was the first or the second generation. So perhaps the same thing happened with Classic Softs.
Jaehyun Kim
The new filter is "Schneider-Kreuznach" The filter I bought from an eBay seller is "Schneider". However, it is very disconcerting at different concentrations for each filter and you.
