The guys were crossing the gas station when the car smashed through their pane of glass and hit the hydrant, all before the car hit the wooden fruit cart.

It must have been going pretty fast because it's knocked every single one of the wall of cardboard boxes out of shot.

Yes, this was early afternoon yesterday on Ventura Boulevard near Radford Avenue, where the CBS studios are.

Is anything left of the car? Fire hydrants tend not to be made out of balsa wood.

I'm not sure about the car - none was in evidence - but they seem to have bolted the fire hydrant back into place now. Looks like a large cast iron fabrication to me.
