  1. Hey guys. Wanted to share this. My friend is launching a US based Kinor service business. He’s personally helped rebuild units for me. He does great work, is very professional, and knowledgeable. If you have a Kinor 16 system, he can do a lot, from CLA work to custom jobs. Reach out to him through his website now, and share it around if you can! https://loskinop.wordpress.com/

  3. No. I have a 134 model. I actually need some help with it if you can spare a message or call.
  4. Was unaware of other models. I was gifted a camera in split 8 and it’s rather hard to find film for it, so rather than have it be a nice paper weight I’d hope to bring some modernized life into it. Thank you for your reply though.
  5. Curious but, is it possible to convert the split 8 B&H into a straight 16mm or 8mm?
  6. I recently saw an announcement of a cool new lens accessory. Old Fast Glass Customs made a FF to S16 Format converter. This allows for Full Frame and VV lenses to be used on a S16 format such as the Arri/ Aaton, etc. with a LPL/PL mount. I see that they only have them available to rental in the near future. Does anyone have information on if they will be available for purchase, what the price would be, or if there are alternatives that allow the same conversions to be used within reason? Does this seem like a good investment when and if they become available for purchase? YOUTUBE:
  7. I think this post is a great litmus test for those who want to push the accessibility of film forward like @Aapo Lettinen and @Henry kidman do. There’s a lot of knowledge that’s left with the older generations as they transition, and there are a lot of people, including myself, who want to learn more and make film as accessible as it was in its golden era. Techniques change, but the message is the same. Love this!
  8. I am looking to start renting my cameras in the future and am trying to solidify a good practice for shipping rentals that covers me and my gear. Specifically the vetting process, and orienting the client with the gear virtually. looking for any suggestions or experience/ background from either the renter or rentee’s perspective.
  9. Your health is important! I think you have a great product and have been a really light in the world of restoring these camera motors for modern times!
  10. Fair point. I guess for a more artistic approach I could play around with it.
  11. Hey Guys, I have a question. I am looking to use my old glass, Nikon F and Minolta MC/MD mounts on my Kinor 16 system which is PL. There is no straight adapter from Minolta to Arri but there is one from Nikon to Arri, as well as Minolta to Nikon. Is it possible to stack the adapters from Minolta to Nikon to Arri to be able to use my glass on the system? The Nikon to Arri is 1.4x teleconverter and the Minolta to Nikon only mechanical.
  12. This is so dope Aapo! I can’t wait to get mine man!
  13. Wait! Can I get mine for the pink batch? That’s so dope!
