    I decided to sell some of my Arri 35II accessories over ebay, here is the list:

    Hello everyone !

     

    Thanks Charlie for all the details and the tech sheets.

     

    Well, for now I've got a MKII that has a zoom ring trouble. I don't know yet if I'll have it repaired because I contacted Zeiss for the parts and it's quite expensive...

     

    Soon I'll have a MKI that has been converted to S16.

     

    So, what I'm thinking about is to put the MKII front glass on the MKI. Do you think that it could work ? I guess that if it is the same optical design it should work fine...

    I don't exactly know what "B" or "C" means in the AATON numbering.

    That camera has the standard LTR viewfinder, don't know if it was updated or if it's from factory. By the way, the price can be divided by ten...

    I believe that first LTR had a different viewfinder.

     

    Have a look to that one, it's serial number is C2x and as you can see the viewfinder is different. I think that older viewfinders were less orientable.

    - Super 16mm 1,5 ACL body with Super 16 ground Glass showing only S16 markings and center cross(Not a modified N16 Ground Glass). 144° Shutter. Small orientable viewfinder. It does not erect picture but it is very small.

    - Small crystal speed motor. The buyer will have the choice between a 25 fps or a 24 fps crystal.

    - one 200ft French magazine with hubs on both sides. High speed ready.

    - 1 power cable JAEGER - XLR 4

     

    The camera is in good condition and works fine, although it shows normal wear. It is silent as an ACL should be. With 200ft mags it is a very compact camera.

     

    Pictures are available upon request.

    I can ship everywhere in the world, just ask for a shipping quote.

     

    I'm asking 850 euros for the set.

    Zeiss 10-100 S16 conversion; Abakus VS Vandiemen

    Hello,

     

    I have a Zeiss 10-100 T2 MKII that I'd like to convert to Super 16.

    Optex has disapeared but it seems that Abakus now sells conversion kits. Van diemen also sells its own conversion.

    How do they compare each other ? Is there one better than another ?

    The Abakus seems to be "new". Is it better than the "old" Optex kit ?

     

    Any feedback will be appreciated.

    I have a good opportunity to buy an Arriflex so I decided to sell one of my two ACL

     

    The sale includes:

    Mattebox Chrosziel 3x3 - Reference SD1000.

     

    2 filter trays. 1 rotating.

     

    85mm clamp. Will fit any lens under 85mm with adapter (clamp or screwing on lens front filter thread)

     

    Sold with 85- 80 mm adapter and French Flag.

     

    Will fit perfectly on any HDV camera and so on.

     

    Light marks but very good condition

    I'm interested in buying a 16 SR 1.

    How to recognize a "French electronics and motor" one from a German one ?

    Is there a label somewhere to look at ? Or, is the only way to know is to look at the serial number ? (German made from 60901 according to Tim)

     

    Another question, did the SR1 serial numbers started at 60000 ?

    I'm looking for a French ECLAIR ACL 1 or 1,5, standard 16, not converted to S16, with a small 24 fps motor. I also need 2 x 200 ft magazines, french made also.

    I have no link but I have it on my hard disk. Send me your email by private message and I'l send you the file. Sadly, the quality of the document is not very good and it's quite dark. But it's free and better than nothing.

     

    Some years ago, I bought one manual form an ebay seller who sold "Parts and repair" manuals for 19 USD. He said that his manuals were copied from an original one. In fact he just printed the PDF file I'm going to send you... I already had this PDF document and when I received the printed one from the seller I was very disapointed because I was expecting a better quality one !
