anamorpic Tying to adapt Yashica Scope 1.5x

I recently picked up the Yashica Scope 1.5x, originally designed for the Yashica 8T, and have been trying to adapt it to my Blackmagic Pocket 4K. The setup I've been attempting is using the Nikkor 50mm f1.8 as the taking lens mounted to my BMPCC4K and holding the anamorphic attachment to the front. Sadly, no luck its extremely out of focus. I've now tried using diopters, but still no luck. Any recommendations, advice, or a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
