  9. Hi! I need to find out the accurate focal length conversion for HD focal lengths when compared to 35mm focal lengths (i.e. what is the HD lens equivalent of the 35mm format's 18mm, 25mm, etc.?) Thanks!
  10. Hi! I am wondering if you are supposed to shoot 4x3 or 16:9 while using the 35mm lens adapter? in the end how does the application of the 35mm lens adaptor effect the aspect ratio? thanks. /mikus.
  11. Hey there! I am having a 1.2K HMI on the set today and the sony FX1, shooting 1080i 30fps. I am unsure about the ballast, if its flicker free or Magnetic. If it turns out to be Magnetic, do I set the shutter speed to 1/60 or what is the process? and if its the flicker free ballast I dont got nothing to worry about right? my intendend shutter speed is 1/48. appreciate any help! thanks! /mikus
  12. Hey! have a question with what grip equipment i would best and safest attach a 24x24 inch mirror onto a c stand? thanks.
  13. Hey! have a question regarding track choice. I am shooting on a pebbled road and also in grass, and will have the fisher dolly model 10, is there a difference in smoothness going with the square tracks? I am planning to have a gentle curve track aswell. they couldnt really help me out at the rental place over the phone. so am relying on your experiences. also wondering if the sachtler video 20 tripod head will fit onto the dolly (another thing the rental place was unsure of) thanks!
  14. Hi! I am thinking of relocating from Boston to L.A in cupple months, But have no idea about how the work situation looks like down there. I am a cinematographer that graduated in March from a filmschool in Poland. I would like the experience that L.A has to offer. I am interested in camera operating, gaffing, grip, AC, still photography. but where does one go? where does one look? and does one have to be in the union? In MA they have central booking- where one pays a fee and they call you up if there are any jobs in the area.- they are intouch with all the production companies. Is there someting similar in L.A? How does one join the union? I am hoping for some names. Thanks.
