  1. Why dont you just goal post that poop. throw a combi on each side, some pipe and youre set. Rigging something like a 2.5 like is more trouple than its worth.
  2. They might of meant pizza kit aka dot and finger kit.
  3. If you want to simulate an acid trip its going to be all in the production design, actors etc... Lighting will only go so far.
  4. Those are either two dinos or super dinos, im not too sure. Maxis are pretty popular as well (alot smaller and easier to use than dinos). The nice part is that punch lights are pretty cheap to rent.
  5. I know what a net and silk do but the link he posted showed something that would do the same thing as a net would.
  6. Why not just use nets? If a single is too heavy then use a white net.
  7. Call youre rental house. They never have all their inventory in a catalog (trust me, i use to and still do from time to time, work in a rental house). That being said, take a look a 1/4 black silk. I prefer it over a reg. black silk because it can be a bit too heavy.
  8. Pick up a magic gadget. You can hook up 3 lights up to 1000 watts in size. You can also do it in camera by changing the shutter angle. home this makes sence. I just got home from work so my mind is fryed
  9. Wasnt parts of Babel shot in 2.35 and then scanned at 1.85?
  10. Whats the weather going to be like on the day? You might have a problem balancing your natural light with your own lighting. Really light drapes is a really easy way to diffuse natural light. You can pretty much set it and forgret it, of course depending on the movement of the sun
  11. This is the first half of a short film. The second half is being developed right now. It was shot in Vancouver last September. Shot on a HVX with a mini 35 and MK1 Zeiss Super Speeds. Grip and LX came from PS. Directed by Virgile Dean Produced by Sebastian Andexer & Virgile Dean Cinematography by Tony Mirza Music by Jeff Mahoney Part I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgkMBWVaPmw Part II
  12. Ive had some experience with the FF4 from arri but not the FF 3. How does the 19mm adapter work. Does it just slide into the slots for the 15mm rails? Also, does anyone have a ballpark figure on what the ff unit, focus knob and a short whip for the ff4 and 3 would go for? Thats what ive heard from a few ac's but apparently once you get a hang of it its a very versatile unit.
  13. I know the production rents it, but I am looking at purchasing my own. I was looking at a willytech but theres hardly any info on them and I dont think they are still being made.
