  1. I am an established still photographer in NYC. I would like to expand my skills into the moving image. I was wondering about the best way to access skills such as directing or cinematography, and add that to my existing business. I have previous roots with the Maine Media Workshops, and they offer these workshops. Would this be a good way to add those skills? Are there better ways to go about gaining these skills? Does someone have recommendations?
  2. Hello, I am a full time still photographer based in New York. I would like to see if my visual aptitude could translate over to the moving image. I am willing to assist a cinematographer (or the assistant to the assistant, etc) as an intern, but don't know how to go about that because of union rules, etc. Is it possible to find this type of position in New York City? W
  3. Thanks James, I kind of forsee the model of having a film reel, but still doing still work. It seems to be a common trend among many of the photographers I worked for when I was an assitant. Thanks for the info.
  4. I live in NYC and have an extensive commercial/fine art photography background and lighting experience and wanted to see how my eye and skills can be applied behind the moving camera. Is there a place where I can find out about assisting established camera or DP people in the industry? Woud you recommend workshops like in Maine (MPW) Any advice would be great. William
