Hi , Im starting a film in s16... Im goint out with 35's ultraprime lenses , a 9,5 and a 12 mm of 16, and an Angenieux 25-250mm HR ... It's compatible if I use a MB-16(4x4) with the zoom? or I have to carry also a MB14 (6x6) ? The diameters are compatible? are they the same ? and using the zoom wide open , I'll see the mattebox on the sides? Thanks ...

sorry, I have 2 little doubts : 1..... Can you set your project at 30fps 4K , 2:1 or 16:9 ? ...and, 2...........what is the difference if you set your project 4K 2:1 25 fps, and then you change the value speed in the menu, in varispeed option to 30 fps ? its the same? what changes ? thanksss

Could be, that RED's chip working in 4K , has more power resolution than shooting with film ( so you get a smaller circle of confusion , so less depth of field...), (cause also you generally work with 500T, 320T, etc).. ... I dont know if you do tests with same lenses, and 50D film.... you get a smaller circle of confusion...? Last year, we did the resolution test with the RED, and we decided to shoot the century chart : with the camera in straight position (perfect vertical and horizontal lines matching ) , and another one with the camera very out of bubble, like in a diagonal position ... so that the small vert. and horiz. lines of the chart , dont't mix or mess with the lines or patch of the chip... and we find , the chip resolved more lines...!!

Thanks for the links ! ... What about depth of field? cause I worked last year with the red camera in 4k , and it seemed to me, to have less depth of field than in 35mm... but a lot less ! have you experienced sth like this?

Hi ! I'm starting a new fil in a month and a half with the ARRIFLEX D-21 , which I never used it ... Does anybody has any recomendation for assisting and pulling focus with this camera? or technical data ? or whatever you discovered using it ... or accesories you would recomend me to ask to the rental house... and another thing... were can I download the manual ? cause in arri'swebpage, I couldn't find it ... thanks !

I use only this one... http://www.amazon.com/Bucket-Boss-25005-Pa...0110&sr=1-5 I used to carry lots of thing to work, and then realised that I only used 4 or 5 things... I have my second assistant who has a very complete bag , full of stuff.. so when I need any, I ask him... !!

ok..! and how does the camera crew team is working on your countries ? : cameraman + focus puller + second assistant + loader and video assist ? ... or there is no loader and the second assistant downloads all the info to a computer? cause in the project I m going to shoot in a month, the DoP called an hd operator , cause he is a bit nervous about working in video he always shots with film !!... So , the hd operator is going to download all the material to a Mac ... So my second assistant will only be there to give me the lenses and help me sometimes with some focus marks... but I think we should work with a loader... not with an hd operator... what do you think?

hi, Im shooting a steadyness test with a 535, and I have a a doubt ...! does the counter counts back when you put the camera in reverse? ej : you shoot ..20 mts, and without taking the mag, you want to rewind the material, so you set the camera in reverse... does the counter , which you left in 20 mts, starts going back to 19 , 18 , 17 ... mts ? or not ?...

ok ... good info ! ... Last friday we made a list about accesories to buy... we couldn't convinced the producer to buy the breakout box, cause its cheaper to buy more of those mini cables bnc... !...

well but since you set the sensibility yo want in the camera , you have to think the camera as an "emulsion" , ... so If you are a dop , you set the asa in your spot meter and you are freely to go round, without watching a monitor so you can work with the F number you want... ...I think its interesting to know what parameter the red's creator used to give the cmos ...I think they should give you more info ..... and if you are shooting at 3 fps, or 12 fps, .. less than 24 ... you dont get overexposure... as you will get with a 35 mm camera... That I found it strange... so I realized, the camera continues shooting at 24 fps , but only records 3 frames per second, but you don't need to correct exposure ... there are lots ot things I found were kind of strange... can you explain me more of this?

... We tested the wrc, and you can supply power to the motors, cause, the wrc comes with a small cable you can conect to the red batteries... !

A producer bought a red camera, and looking for 19 mm pair of carbono rods, a follow focus ff4 complete... or just with thw 2 commands , right and left, but it should be in good conditions... and an arri mattebox mb16 complete , 4x4 , (with the accesory that uses behind (counter reflection??) , made of rubber, por ultraprime, and cooke... etc ..... etc ) please, I need photograph of the equipment... as soon as posible...

ok... tomorow im going with the dop, operator , to "meet" , test and see what is the red camera ! ... thanks for the info ..! ... nobody answered me, but I think there is no possibility to use a wireless,... unless you use it with an independent battery ...: a guy running 3 or 6 feet away from the cameraman puling the cable that powers the motors and the receptor ... So well ... see ya !

I could plug the microforce (fisher conector ) cable in the 435, but not in the 235 , using the same cable ... I think the 235 uses another conector, but we were in a hurry, the sun was going down ... so I couldnt check it out ... and then I forgot...!
