  1. David, thanks for posting these, It's hard to compare the Quality of the Arri lens in these files (as opposed to say a 35mm adapter) nevertheless very interesting
  2. I looked into this a few months back and reached similar conclusions. Huge magnification, however, you are working with the sweet spot on the lens. I have the Letus35XL v.2 on my XlH1 and Love it. Quyen Le, who makes it, is working on a PL mount. This may be a better solution
  3. Not really that innacurate - just bad --- I never look through the eye piece --it'd just a pixelated mess ---poor for focussing manually - I am using 35mm primes and I can't always tell if I have hit focus - (now this isn't canon's problem, I am making DOF a priority which the viewfinder can't handle) So I ALWAYS have the Peaking feature on just slow ---there is a lag in 24f. So I just make the actors do everything twice. But who really cares about seeing what you are filming anyway.
  4. There is a new, cheaper and smaller version of this portable HD -SDI recorder coming in October http://www.kinor.ru/products/flashdvr/ and there is a Laptop with 2 terrabites Raid & 4 Gigs of Ram with HD-SDI that comes in August (around 10K) http://www.kinor.ru/products/diskvtr/hdnb/ I am not sure about this company, but they have beeen very receptive via email and at least it is a sign that things are in the works...somewhere
  5. Theres are tons, I have heard good things about Dan;s http://www.dandiaconu.com/newweb/index.htm but withh the H1 I personally love the Letus35X-XL it firts directly on the camera and has image flip ! http://www.adapterplace.com/ here is some test footage I shot with it (mostly in 24f - so you will need VLC media player to play the raw .m2t files) http://www.realm.cc/upload/benton/
