Just to throw more chaos into the mix, I have an Aaton LTR 7 that I am going to sell. Body# 690, Reg 16mm, two reg 16mm mags, Zeiss 10 to 100mm T3, two bats, adapters to Arri and Nikon, cases, matte box etc. Selling as I have an XTR Prod I'm looking to upgrade, and I've only used this body three times in the last year. I have a Sachtler Video 20 that I use with my Aaton XTR and I love it. I have had it up with an 800' mag, 400mm Canon and a Marshall 7" monitor, and i have complete control. Matt.

I had three recelled at a chain store called Batteries Plus. They put in 2400 ? nicad cels which run a long time on my Aaton XTR with video asssist. They charged me $79.00 each. They recelled some battery belts for me for $300.00 each, and LA quoted me $475 plus shipping. Just a thought, because they are only batteries. I've just gone through a similar situation. I work for various companies here in the state, and one producer told me he reserved the right to not hire me if I aligned myself as a DP in a job bid. I responded that as I am only employed as a sub contractor by any of the companies, I reserve the right to work for who I wish, and as the other company had contacted me first, I agreed to work for them if they won the bid. I also informed him that if I were the producer, I would hire a crew based on their expertise, rather than their friendships or aliances. He wound up getting the job, and has asked to me about working on the project. I think you need to put them in your shoes. Ask them what they would do if they were in your situation.
