  1. Well from what I hear, the iris control is now like the GL2's one - a flick switch with spring reset - (read: awful) There is also apparently no line level in on the balanced XLR adapter - Hmmm. Combined with a non marked barrel and servo only driven focus and zoom, I'm quite disappointed so far as I've been holding out for this to see what they were going to offer, expecting something mind blowing. Obviously everything relative to price...If it was US$3500 I'd jump at it.
  2. Pete, the <1/4" nature of the XL2's chips is only there in 4/3 mode because they use a smaller area inside the 4:3 chip (I think this is a shame BTW). Used in 16:9 mode the full width of the 1/3" CCD is used. Of course, the full height isn't, but that's the nature of 16:9. Got to Here to see a lowdown of it. Aaron
