Unusual motor and gate on Arriflex 35 2B. I’m considering buying this with the original motor grip at a reasonable price, would it be a good idea ?

According to Letterboxed it was shot on Alexa Mini LF. A certain irony that it wasn’t 35mm Film.

Does anyone know if Roger Deakins shot this in 35mm ?

As used in the sixties and seventies on many features and TV productions to silence the ubiquitous 2b’s and 2c’s. Ones like this can be seen in stills from Kubrick’s Clockwork Orange etc,. Very good condition for it’s age, with original pan & tilt head and wooden tripod. Modern rolling base included, with lockable wheels. Sorry for the squint photos, can’t upload portrait ratio. Local collection only from southern Scotland. Very heavy. Could be crated and shipped at buyers expense. £695 GBP. PayPal ‘Gift’.

From the serial number, this camera would almost certainly have been used for propaganda by the German military. It certainly looks like it’s been through the wars, but is in good working order, and clean internally. Comes with later era Telestigmar lens, 2x 200’ & 1x 400’ mags. The lens is in poor shape, but is useful for checking the camera. With case and non original power cable. £1,195.00 GBP, PayPal ‘gift’ plus shipping from the U.K..

I bought this recently for my WWII Arriflex 35, as they are in similar condition. However the lens protrudes too much at the back, and would foul the mirror shutter. The glass is very good, no fungus, or scratches that I can see. But the front ring has many signs of use, see pictures. A few tiny screws seem to be missing on close inspection. Focus is smooth, and f stops click well. I would have been happy with it if it had fitted my camera. I believe it must be for a 16mm Arriflex with a standard mount. Non original back and front caps included. $175 plus shipping from the U.K. PayPal.
