  1. Hello, I just found a website that is selling the Panasonic AGDVC20P but I can't seem to find any reviews for this camcorder. Has anyone here used this camcorder and if so, how does it compare to what is out now? Thanks
  2. Hey everyone, I posted this in the "Video Only" section, but I think it's more suitable here. I needed a camcorder under $1600.00, so I purchased Sony DCR VX1000 based on past reviews. But with it being so old, I was curious if it still holds up today. I?m a newbie when it comes to filmmaking, so I want something that I can experiment with while still having enough money for other equipment. But I do plan on creating short films that I plan to enter in to festivals, and with it being made in 1995, I worry that the video won?t look as good compared to films being shot with more current technology. The person I bought it from is giving me time to think about it, so I was wondering if the VX1000 is still good to use. Thanks.

    Sony DCR VX1000

Hi everyone, I have just purchased the Sony DCR VX1000 camcorder and I'm curious to see if this still holds up to the various prosumer camcorders being sold today. I saw that it was listed in PCWorld's "50 Greatest Gadgets of the Past 50 Years", so I was just wondering with the camcorder being released in 1995, if it still holds up to other camcorders such as the Panasonic AG-DVC30 or the Canon GL2 (in terms of picture quality, features, etc.). Thanks for your help!
