  1. i've been trying to capture dvcpro 50 footage with the SD-930 deck into adobe premiere pro 1.5 but cannot get premiere to recognize the device as being online, even though the computer recognizes it when it is plugged into the firewire port. i've tried almost everything and am going to swap it out with an sd-93 tomorrow, but does anyone know if that could make any difference or is it just some kind of issue with premiere or my computer?
  2. i completely agree if that is the case. thank you
  3. I'm looking into dubbing my DVCPRO50 footage to DVCAM for capturing purposes in order to bypass a rental of a DVCPRO50 deck. Does anyone know what kind of image degradation could result from this, if any?
  4. thanks very much for the replies. one other question: will importing this way through firewire result in any downgrade in quality? If so, what is the best way in which to capture with minimal loss in quality?
  5. I've never used the SDX before, but will be renting it for a shoot fairly soon. I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to capture footage via firewire directly into the computer, or is a deck absolutely necessary to rent? We will be shooting on DVCPRO 50.
