  1. I just bought a Panasonic DVX100B . I hope I get treated far better than I did when I went to CENTURY 21 ELECTRONICS.I purchased the dvx100b because of all its rave reviews. My question is I want to shot a music video what should I shoot at . 60i 30p or 24p ? Im not new to filming or editing .But this is a huge step up from the small consumer palmcorders Ive owned till now.So Im reading as much as I can but the learning curve is mucher higher.I do most of my editing on adobe prem 6.5 . The camera is bundled with Magic Bullet editor 2 . The end goal is to shot a Heavy Metal video that will eventually go onto DVD with the bands cd.It will be a DVD extra . Any Help . I'll promise to do my home work . But it can be a bit much if you dont know where to start. DAVE
  2. I know how to capture an edit but Im not sure what my export settings should be using adobe premiere 6.5.I want to put my music videos to dvd.I can use windows movie maker to save onto a dvd but its not dvd quality .I tried using power dvd to burn the same music video but it turned out all choppy .What gives what should my export settings on Adobe 6.5 be .what em I missing about the whole makin a dvd .
  3. And BTW, Dave, the rules here are that you post with your real name. The folks here are either professionals or folks like me - amateurs who conduct themselves professionally. They don't like it when people hide behind nicknames or handles. I realy like all the advice and help . To any one consirned with my Screen Name . DAVE is taken. It wont let me enter just dave. So its the ( Handle ) or kick me off the board. Dont be such a drama queen. I am more than PROFESSIONAL enough . Its not me being fake or hiding . I just dont see the big deal .
  4. I wasnt going for that look . I was manning 3 cameras by myself 2 sonys an a Panasonic. The Pan was in widescreen . I was very upset by it.
  5. I had posted a qu about the whole 24p ,trying to achieve that film look. Instead Id like to ask what can I do to footage Ive all ready shot using small sony hand camcorders. I edit in adobe 6.5 I have access to after effects. Is there some kind of formula I can use to achieve a good film look. Ive done some work for a local band . They like my style but not the harsh home movie look of the video Ive shot. Hence my wanting to dive into the whole 3ccds and 24p cameras. If you can please take a look at the video posted here and let me know what can I do if anything to give it a cleanier professional film look. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...eoid=1356866800 Also for a much latter qu I need to know why when I put my music videos Ive shot to dvd they come out chopy as hell.It plays like one frame every couple seconds . The audio stays but the Picture lags or just plain doesnt run.
  6. What if I went with the Sony HVR-A1? Would this be the better camera ? As appossed to the Pan Ag DVX100B. Any major draw backs to the Sony ?
  7. I hate this , no oher way around it. I am buying av dvx100b . I ve seen the whole debate and I still dont get it.I'm shooting a music video . I had been shooting with simple sony camcorders. But I wanted that film look.I use adobe pre. 6.5 . I plan on experimenting but where should I start? I have been so excited to start filming in 24p.Whats the easiest setting for camera and Adobe . I plan on eventulay saving the video to DVD . Will Adobe edit in pure 24p or is this whole debate senseless .Like I said I had been shooting with small Sony Camcorders .But I really want that soft film look. I know this question has been answerd a millon an one times . Just lookin for a little hand holding . Heres what Ive done so far . Any help a nice starting point would be nice. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...eoid=1013594267
  8. I like the first video alot. Very well laid out . The second is way to eighties for my taste. But Still it suites the music. I like the first one with all the black an white because you used it so well. The video moved very fluid. It had a very nice pace .To many people dont know how to use BW. Great job.
