  1. Cine-Nikkor10mm may cover super16,,,
  2. When I considered the flicker-motion problem of 24P-DV camera before, I derived this diagram based on the knowledge of the center shutter. (DV camera has not almost inclination.) However, the diagram is exaggerated. Because the inclination of the diagram is bit part of the entire diagram, the existence of the effect which the Manual of Eclair says is not certain. Out of curiosity, I will observe the difference of image shot by ACL and ST after this.
  3. I think that it is similar to the difference between the center-shutter and focal-plane shutter of the still cameras. (Thought it's not the same at all.)
  4. To buy or not to buy, first of all, let's make it run with one roll of film.
  5. Is there a person who needs "GEL HOLDER" that can be attached to rear end of Angenieux zoom? I am planning to reproduce it, because it is hard to find it in market. However the work shop needs the order for at least hundred pieces for the cost reason. Please help my wallet, and get "BRAND NEW GEL HOLDERS"! The holder will be attached to popular Angenieux Zoom such as 12-120mm,10-150mm,9.5-57mm and 15-150mm except C-mount type. Regards!
  6. Please run the R16 without lens. And see inside of the lens mount. Can you see the pressure plate or film surface while driving? The mirror of R16 is combining the shutter, and moves up and down. I guess that the stroke of mirror might be too short.
  7. My Beaulieu was serviced by Mr.bjorn too, and works very well. I requested conversion to single mount panel from turret mount at the same time as lubrication. Because I thought that the turret mount is too weakly to mount a zoom lens such as Angenieu 12-120. Actually the turret mount of Beaulieu that I got was bended already. 8. Yes! The Beaulieu R-16B will give you very brighter view finder image than Bolex!! And easy to focus under the low light. Further, the finder image of late model of R-16 is as big as Bolex RX-5. However, the grain of focusing screen is very delicate, so will be lost easily if you touch! And it become unsuitable for focusing.
  9. I recommend to get a C-ARRI adaptor if you could find. ARRI mount lenses are usually easy to operate than C mount lenses. And it makes attaching a gelatin filter to the rear element of lens easy.

The categories "Film Stocks and Processing" or "Cinematographers" is better to resolve your difficulty, I think. http://www.cinematography.com/forum2004/in...php?showforum=9 http://www.cinematography.com/forum2004/in...php?showforum=3
  11. I am looking for LEMO plug that attach to the drive switch socket of Eclair ACL II hand grip base. Where does I can find it? I need only two or three connectors.

Hi Ian! Unfortunately Kinor does not cover Super16.

    Kinor 6mm lens!

thank you for your opinion! The Angenieux and Kinoptik is fixed to 3feet already. I will fix Kinor to 0.9m too.

    Kinor 6mm lens!

I am planning to compare Kinor6mm with Angenieux5.9mm and Kinoptik5.7mm. The image of Kinor through view finder has little bit bigger amount of distortion than Angeniex, but is as clear as Angenieux.
