  1. Sorry for what may be a simple question (I'm quite new at this) Does the Sony F3 have an internal spot meter of any type? I cant seem to find it but from what Ive read there should be one, I think. Jason
  2. About 3 years ago I shot a short documentary on Kodak 7222. I have not shot anything since, but have been thinking about it lately. I have quite a few roles of stock left in my freezer...they have never been taken out and have never been opned, but they have been in there for a few years. What does everyone think? Should I just suck up the cost and buy some new stock, or would it be reasonably safe to use this stuff up?
  3. I had the pleasure of meeting her a few times. Incredibly friendly and helpful. So sad.
  4. Hey everybody...not bringing back this thread because of what it was about but what was in it. There was discussion of Helen Hill and her book Recipe for disaster...I came acoss some disturbing news and a loss for the film making community. www.helenhill.org
  5. Should be easy to find a diagram how to do it. I agree with poster above, I believe its in the ACS manual. It is pretty easy compared to a lot of cameras.
  6. I just saw "First Knight" on television the other night. It was bad....but not in a good way.
  7. Anyone have any opinions on this camera? Pros and Cons? Can anyone send me to a link to see some footage from this cam or know of anything shot using it? Just curious.
  8. I could put up a short clip of one if i could figure out how. How do I get a clip up on the net? I am not very tech savy.
  9. I really liked it. I liked the hand held....so I wouldnt worry about that. One thing....sometimes the text could be up for a second more, especially the longer ones. Its nice to be able to fully read text and have another second to soak it in before it disapears. I have made a few short docs and know how hard it can be when you take an organic approach, as you say have done in this case. I think you made a really great effort and a really nice short film.
  10. Looks great. Can you talk about what the gear was and how you got such a great look? Jason
  11. I have a copy of recipes for disaster around here, somewhere, and it is quite good.
  12. I have a morse tank. Not sure what it is worth. I will see if I can put up a pic in the next day or so. Jason
  13. I am shooting a short on DVcam. I have shot stuff on DV cam but have never really tried tweaking the look in post. I just tend to shoot and edit. Do people out there tend to color correct and alter the look quite a bit in post? Is there a lot you can do with just Final cut pro or is there a particulour program which can help play with your image.
