  1. Thanks for your reply. Mainly doing lots of interviews and need a decent size backdrop-thinking 10'. I've been using a black sheet but am switching to either vinyl or muslin. I also have another job coming up shooting clothing/accessories against a white paper backdrop. Thanks again for any advice.
  2. Hello, I'm in the market for a decent backdrop support system and was wondering if anyone had recommendations. I'd rather get something decent that won't break on the 2nd use although I don;t want to burn money that I don't have. Anyone have any support system for photo/video studio work they could recommend that is relatively portable and the top support beam won't bend, pieces won''t break, etc? Thanks so much fir any advice! Frank
  3. Hello, Have a couple light kits, Arri kit and Lowel Rifa soft light kit. I'd like to get some portable, (ie, not too heavy) dimmers for these lights which are anywhere from 300 to 1K and tungsten-halogen but I'm also considering getting fluorescent bulbs inserts on the Rifas as well. Does anyone have any recommendations for dimmer switches? Good places to by? Or ways to make your own? Especially regarding the possible switching between tungsten and fluorescents.... Thanks so much for any info!
  4. A very cool friend of mine does undercover work for Animal Rights Organizations and is looking for a tiny, user-friendly, and good quality camera. Does anyone know of any gear, use any cameras they like, or hear of anything that is good? User-friendly and NLE-friendly are important in the decision as well. He needs to be able to walk around in the middle of nowhere-type places, far from his car, and be able to operate the equipment himself while working and interacting with others 'undercover'. Any links or info that I could pass along or any is much appreciated! Thanks so much and Happy Holidays to all. Frank
