  1. Hello, I've decided to build my own work staion for editing video as in short films, and video for broadcast, etc. I need to know what kind of system I need - size of hard drive, etc.etc. I appreciate any feedback Thanks - CraigT
  2. Well Ok, I tried Frame Forge and I see what you mean. It's much faster just to draw. I'll just have to up my sketch game. Thanks Craig
  3. Hey everyone! Well I'm really impressed by this forum and all the response I got to storyboarding. I just downloaded a Frame Forge demo and I'm playing around with it. I can sketch, but I've never been happy with the results. Not enough patience. That's why I got into digital composite art a while back, because I could put pictures together. Anyway thanks for all your input. Very helpful - Craig
  4. Hi I'd like to know if anyone has used Storyboard Quick or FrameForge 3D Studio for storyboarding and there opinions pro and con. - Or if you know of a web page that compares the two, please direct me there. Both are about the same price. If there's another forum to better ask this question on, please let me know. Thanks - Craig

  6. Hello, I'm also considering the DX100A. Somebody had a complaint about the focal ring on the DX100. He said this: - Ask about manual focus with DX100,DX100A I quote from Scott Billups, Digital Moviemaking: "They saddled it with the horrendous focus ring from hell. It is impossible to get professional results with a lens that has a focus ring that just keeps turning. Since there is no quantifiable or repeatable point at which you can actually gen- erate a true follow focus, any camera with a focus ring that does'nt stop turning is not suitable for professional production. Period!!!" I quote Scott Billups. 4. Now it may be that new DX100A has different focus range, I do not know. I spent a full day with DX100 and I did not like it. Do any if you know if this problem exists on the current model? Thanks - Craig
  7. I just tried to post and I don't think it worked, so I'll try this...... Hello, I'm a photographer who's getting into DV with the intent of shooting a 15min. short. I'm considering buying the DVX100A - in fact I'm considering buying two - I'd like your opinions of this camera as opposed to other prosumer models, especially in regards to tranferring video to film of theatre viewing. Thanks for any help. I know this is a new frontier and perhaps there are no easy answers - Craig
