  1. The upgraded a 17EP-16 APK motor of Konvas-1M/2M camera at 17EP-2213-21 project. The motor have 21 crystal sync speed: 6.25 8.0 10.0 12.0 12.5 15.0 16.0 16.666 20.0 23.976 24.0 25.0 29.97 30.0 32.0 33.333 36.0 40.0 48.0 50.0 60.0 fps, Time Lapse have fixed time a frame exposure 1/8s and variable time of waiting of next shoot: 1, 2, 4, 8, 15, 30, 60, 120, 240, 600, 900 seconds. Time Lapse with varuable time of exposing: Variable time of exposing of frame :1, 2, 4, 8, 15, 30, 60, 120, 240, 600, 900 seconds Fixed time a time of waiting of next frame 1/8s. Multi Digital film counter, foot, meter: All - total length a film, See- length a last scene, Rem- countdown, Set- setup film rool length at film magazine. LCD display. The first line - film counter. The second line - speed of camera and time lapse set. Full functional remote control 17EP-1501 with signal cord up to 15 m.   2. Konvas-2M better. Lens mount. Konvas-2M better because, have one lens mount with Arri PL, BNCR style of jamming lens inside lens mount. This is type of lens mount more precieion and more stable ( FFD ). IIC can be upgrade on Arri PL, but, ask additional money for upgrade. Any lens mount with Arri standard bayonet style have less stable FFD. Motor CM3 do not have crystal sync speed motor, have old rheostat control motor. Original version IIC do not have crystal sync speed motor, askof additional money for installation crystal sync speed motor. Film magazines. Konvas have 200 ft and 400 ft quick-change magazine. Lenses. Konvas-2M have very good LOMO lenses. LOMO lenses hav high optical characteristics and low price now. the many users of RED cameras to find of LOMO lenses for use. If you prefer Arri Pl mount lenses, Konvas-1M, 2M can be upgrade on Arri Pl lens mount. Konvas-2M upgrade better. Konvas motor can be upgrade on multi speed crystal sync speed with multi mode digital film counter, with variable speed ( Arri VArio VSU device ), full motor control remote control with long cord. Konvas motor can have multi speed synthesizers. And all this for understandable price. Anybody have other opinion ? Konvas do not clone of the Cameflex, this is other design of camera. The similarity at base idea of camera environment only. 17EP-16 APK motor and 19EP-16 APK motor do not have distinction in kind. This is similar motors at outside and inside. The motors have a small difference at plates of electronic control inside. The schematic do not have a base difference too. You can choose any motor 17EP or 19EP.
  3. Yes, Kinor digital camera can be a wise alternative a 65 mm filming. I do not know of all details about new projects of guys from Kinor digital company, but, i know, they have very good business relations with 3D designer group of NIKFI and 3D lend designers from MKBK. NIKFI show a 3D HDTV camera a some time ago. http://nikfi.ru/works/lsk/stcomp/ And I think, We can see a Kinor digital 3D at future. Kinor propose a DCX camera systems with 4K, 8K, 16K and speeds up to 5000 fps. http://www.kinor.ru/en/products/camera/dcx/ If the unite at one project the theoretical ideas at 3D from NIKFI, digital cameras from Kinor, 3D lenses systems from MKBK, we can have very good 3D digital camera system.   5. Hi John May be you right, we use of adding colours at processing of B&W reversal film and had very good result. About E-6 we do not make experiments, I show of my supposition only. Any case, the guys can checl this ideas by test, need a russian spiral tank UPB-1, UPB-1A, chemisrty, and short ends of S8 films.
  6. I agree a John idea , but, I wish add a some notes. Yes, 7285 100D film have E-6 technology processing, but, if you wish have peculiar artimages, you can replace a color developer on other type of one-colour dye. At final you will have one color slide image. The dye can be chemical solution for B&W photo paper, special formulas for B&W print films, other dye. Any case, this can be interested experiments.

  8. P.S Can be process at home, in russian spiral processing tanks with E-6 technology and E-6 hobby pack chemisrty. This is do not complex procedure, can be make at home and you will have a great result.
  9. As for my opinion, 200T with E6 process, can be better. 100D very good film, but, comfortable for daylight shooting only. If you will shoot at tungsten light indoor place, you need set 80 filter and will have 24ASA speed only. 24 ASA very small speed for indoor shots. From other side, the many Super 8 cameras have 85 filters inside and 200 T for tungsten and 125 D for daylight with 85 filter can be comfortable. Any case, we will be happy to have S8 100D fiilm.
  10. K3 with bayonet can use of prime lenses of russian 16SP camera. This is 10 mm, 15 mm, 25mm, 50 mm, 75 mm. But, this rare lenses. We can order of upgrade a professonal zoom lens from Kinor-16 camera to K-3 bayonet mount . This is 16 OPF-12-1 zoom lens 10-100 mm and 7.5-75 mm with 0.75 front attachment. OPF-12 zoom lens can be a very good choose. But, from other side, the all users of K-3 cameras have standard needs: 1. wide angle lenses , 2. 400 ft film rolls, 3. electrical motor drive, 4. crystal sync speed control of electrical motor drive. That's why, i recommed of all users, if you wish more from standard edition of K-3 camera, the better to choose of K-3 on Kinor-16 SX-2M camera with more high stability of image, prime lenses from 6 mm, 7.5-75 mm 10-100, 12-120 mm zoom lenses, electical motor, 400 ft film magazines.

  12. Krasnogorsk-3 camea with M42 screw mount have flange focal distance 45.5 mm. C-mount lenses have flange focal distance 17,53 mm. Can you setup of lens with short flage focal distance ( FFD ) to camera with long FFD ? As for me, thi is do not possible. If you wish use of C-mount lenses, you need 16 mm cine cameras with do not reflex system, like Admira-16, or with pendulum mirror, like Eclair ACL, Kiev-16E, or with semi-transparet mirror, like Alpha-16. I think, you mean of M42 to C-mount adapter. This is adapter use for install of M42 screw mount lenses on C-mount cameras, like Alpha-16. If you ask about compatible of this adapter with Meteor-5 zoom lens of K-3 camera, sorry, not. Meteor-5 zoom lens have cone at rear side of lens and touch of inisde surface of adapter.
  13. I wish tell about new technique to use of Time Lapse mode at filming. We have 2213 crystal sync speed controller with Time lapse mode. Time Lapse have fixed time a frame exposure 1/8s and variable time of waiting of next shoot: 1, 2, 4, 8, 15, 30, 60, 120, 240, 600, 900 seconds. LCD display show a frames quantity . But, 2213 controller at Time Lapse mode can be use for shoot with very low light scenes at night, like a building ( Reversal Time Lapse mode ). 2213 crystal sync speed controller can have classic Time Lapse with fixed time a frame exposure and variable time of waiting of next shoot and " reversal Time Lapse " with variable time a frame exposure 1, 2, 4, 8, 15, 30, 60, 120, 240, 600, 900 seconds and fixed time of waiting of next shoot 1/8 s. This is technique can give of additional art possibilties for shoot a very low light scenes with natural lights. As for me, i have idea to add a light from high power photo flash at time of excposure of every frame for underline of main subject at scene. Will be interested to combine a movement inside long time exposure a scene and light a flash of fix actors. Any case, long time exposure at filming can be interested for use.   15. The hand crank can have Konvas-1 ( KSR-1, KSR-1M ) cameras only,. Konvas-1M ( 1KSR-1M ) camera do not compatible with hand crank movement. Konvas-1 can have 25M-8M rheostat motor only. Super rare 26M-19 motor of Konvas-1 with transistor voltage stabilizator. Any case, if you show picture of your camera, i can tell you more detailed.
  16. If we told about additional rear optical extenders 1.5x and 2x, like optical extenders of zoom lens OPF-18, I do not test of this devices with prime anamoprhic lenses. I hope, 1,5x, 2x optical extenders can work, need test. But, if you think, to use of 1,5x and 2x rear optical extenders for diminution of minimum distance of focusing of lens, this is mistakenly. The optical extenders cut of part of image only and do not change of disctance scale of lens. The optical extender change of aperture scale of lens only. I told about simply lens mount extenders, tube with camera lens mount from one side and lens mount from other side. This is tubes will work with spherical lens, but, do not will work with anamorphic lenses.

  18. Konvas-1, Konvas-1M, Konvas-2M cameras have shutter disk with fixed angle of 150 degree. The russian book show time of exposing of film for different shutter disk angle. At 24 fps the cine camera with shutter disk 150 degree will have time of expsing of film 1/58 sec with 180 degree 1/48 c The difference between 1/48c and 1/58c = 17% 1/48 s = 0.0208333 sec 1/58 s = 0.0172414 sec 1 stop - the difference at 100 % , 17% = near 2/10 The many digital light meters have scale 1/10 stop But, need check of technical information of light meter. The light meter Seconik L758 cine have Shutter-angle settings from 1 to 10o in 1o increments, from 15o to 270o in 5o increments plus 12o,17o,22o,144o and 172o individual settings. Seconik L358 have cine mattering with shutter-angle 180 degree. As of me, from practical experience, +/- 2/10 stops do not important at real shooting. The more high error can have adjusting of aperture control of lens. The matter is that, the every lens have adjustable interaction between real size of aperture hole and aperture scale. The every LOMO lens have " T " stop scale. The "T" stop scale individual for every type of optical block. If you set of aperture scale on 5.6 of OST-19 or OST-18 or Arri Pl lenses, the negative must have similar density ( If the lenses had correct adjusted T stop scale ). The technique of focusing of spherical and anamoprhic lens on short distance different. The spherical lens can be adjust on short distance by moving of one part of optical block or full optical block. The anamoprhic lens have complex design and consist from spherical lens and front anamoprhic component. The spherical lens adjust on infity and total focusing of lens make by moving of optical component before anamoprhic component. That's why, focusing of anamoprhic lens on short distance can be with special close up attachmnet only and do not work with tube mount extenders. We build of front close up attachmnet on 150 mm BAS lens and had very good result. The russian Square anamoprhic lenses had special clouse up glass attachment for shooting with short distance. The minimum distance of focusing of 35BAS-4-15, 50 mm have 1.5 m, but, have two additional distance scales with minimum distabnce of focusing 1.0 m ( greq scale ) and 0.5 m ( red scale ). This is two additional scales use with front glass close up atatchmnets. The similar attachment have Foton-A, front anamoprhic adapter of Foton zoom lens.
  19. About russian LOMO lenses. All professional cinema lenses, spherical , anamoprhic have coating. The russian old anamoprhic lenses, with square front glass, NAS, BAS have cooating too. The procedure of re-coating ask special technical request from lenses. The componnets must be do not glue, because, high temperature coating can destroy of glue. The procedure re-loading ask of additional tools for polisnig of old surface and keep value of surface curvature of glass component. Thta's why, the procedure re-coating expencive and do not profitable for single lens.
  20. Adapter from PL to Arri standard do not possible. We can setup of PL mount adapter on lens with Arri standard bayonet mount only. You need order to replace of front panel of body with Arri PL lens mount version. As of my information, Sergey Kravchenko ( forum user ) had similar part for sell. Can ask him.
  21. Yes, Kinor-35H film gate with mark " H" ( normal , academy film gate ) can be upgrade to Anamorphic size. Will need widen film gate to top on 1.3 mm and you will have top spare surface 0.7 mm and widen to down on 1.3 mm, and down spare surface will have size 1.2 mm.
  22. Yes, This is slids for setup of Wratten gelatin filters inside holder. All Ok, this work fine. You call of 1.66 film gate of film gate with mark " k" and with size of film gate 22,4 x 13,35 mm ? You sure, what you can upgrade of " K" film gate on anamorphic ? As for me, this is do not posible, because, the "k" film gate do not have free surface for cut of film gate on size 18,6 x 22,1 mm ( anamorphic ). If you send me letter on olex.camera@gmail.com i can send you a detailed pictures with size. As of my calculation, the film gate " H" ( normal ) can be upgrade on A anamorphic.
  23. As for me, This is rare part separately and do not available for sell separately as of spare parts. The cores can be with 30 m film magazines only. From other side, the customers losted of cores and film magazine don't possible to use with film in the core.
  24. Technical notes. This is core adapters of 30 m ( 100 ft ) film magazines of Kinor-16 SX-1M, Kinor-16 SX-2M cameras. 30 m ( 100 ft ) film magazines of Kinor-16 cameras compatible for use of 16 mm film on plastic core ( with core adapter ) and inside 100 ft daylight spools ( without core adapter ). 120 m ( 400 ft ) film magazines of Kinor-16 SX-1M/ 2M cameras use of film on plastic core only. At practical experience, the film magazines work fine with film on core. If you load of film on daylight spool, the film can be jammed. Original Kodak metal spools can work fine, but, need check of every magazine. If you have film on daylight spools only, the better version to setup of magazine: to set film on daylight spool on feed axis and plastic core on takeup axis of magazine. And all will fine.
