  1. You can use of prime lens of Krasnogorsk-1 camera, 12,5 mm, 20 mm, 50 mm. You can use of prime lenses of Russian 16SP camera, 10 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, 50 mm, 75 mm. You can use of upgraded professional zoom lens of Kinor-16 SX 10-100 mm, 16OPF-12 or 7,5-75 mm zoom rate with 0,75 front wide angle attachment. 10-100 zoom lens can have rear neutral density and color correction filters. 10-100 zoom lens great choose for K-3 byonet mount camera. Yes, of course, If the camera upgraded from Normal 16 camera in Super 16, lens mount must be re-centered. The ground glass must be recentered too. But, do not all Super wide angle Normal 16 lenses cover of Super 16 film gate. And, if you have upgraded camera, i recommed to check if film gate. If the camera have upgraded original film gate, you need study of profile of film gate detailed. And, i recommed to upgrade of film track and move off of plastical film slides. ( like of K-1 camera film track ).

This is 17EP-16 APK motor with new, modern electronics, base on 1414 controller, with 10 crystal sync speeds, digital film counter and additional power sockets of Battery distributor. 1.   9. As for me, strange. Yes, this is device show like rear tele lens adapter. But, as of my knowledge : 2x teleconverter have complex optical system, consist from a few glass components. 2x teleconverter for 35 mm SLR photo cameras have optical system diameter near 20 and length 20..30 mm. 2x teleconverter of medium format photo camera must have mor big size. But, at image of 4x converter, i see of thin glass. Any case, the point of this doubt can set of real test of 4x converter with lens and camera. From other side, If the 2x converter cut of 1 stop of lens speed, 4x must cut of 2 stops and more.
  10. You sure, what this is optical tele-converter 4x ? and will transfer 80 mm lens on 320 mm ? May be, this is multi-image-transformer ? on four dimilar images at one picture ? I know a similar transofmers 4x, 6x, 8x.
  11. OST-19 and OCT-19 a two different version of translation of one name of russian industrial standard of lens mounts. At russian letters, the name of standard show like OCT-19-144-83. That's why the words OCT-19 and OST-19 call one russian industrial standard. About 2x converters with P6 ( Kiev-60 ) lens mount, this can be original Carl Zeiss or Ukrainian converter with Kiev-60 lens mount ( similar lens mount of Pentacon-Six). To find on ebay.
  12. I had real test shoots Konvas-2M with Foton Zoom lens with front anamorphic adapter Foton-A and roundfront LOMO prime lenses BAS 35 mm, 50, 75, 100, 150, 500, Roundfront BAS better. BAS have better quality of image, more high resolution. I wish underline. We told about special kit of front part of roundfront prime LOMO lens ( front anamorphic adapter ) and special rear part with spherical optical block inside. The rear part with spherical optical block do not similar of spherical prime lens, because, the spherical prime lens have focusing mechanism. The rear part can be use with front part only. The standard prime lens can't be use with front anamorphic part. I think, you mix of idea of prime anamorphic LOMO lenses NAS series of 70 years. This is lenses had two separately body, front anamorphic adaper with focusing mechanism and rear part with spherical lens and aperture control. The front and rear parts connect at special support on camera before shooting. The front and rear parts of roundfront prime LOMO lens of modern design have body with hard mount and show like common body. That's why, this is lens have high optical characteristics, better fron NAS series. If we will compare of square and roundfront prime LOMO anamorphic lenses, this is lenses have different optical scheme and different principle focusing. Roundfront lenses have revolving front component at focusing and hard common body, thats' why, this is type of lenses have better ( resolution, contrast ) optical characteristics.

The speed of rotation of hand crank must be 178,6 turns per minute ( near 3 turns per second ) and you will have speed of camera 24 fps. ( 1440 turns per minute). The axis speed of speed control device will 2880 turns per minute.
  14. Thank. I agree, Konvas-2M is the best russian hand held camera. I can compare of Konvas-2M with best russian tank T-34 at time of World War II, to simply and to reliable. About me, the top of zoom lens design - 35OPF-21-1 25-500mm F3.5/ T4.5 You can imagine zoom lens with diameter 260 mm, length 500 mm and weight 17 kg. About Telelenses : upgraded photo MTO-1000mm lens, mirror ( Maksutov) optical scheme, fixed aperture. OKS-2-1000 mm lens have main lens 500 mm F3.2 and 2x rear converter 1000mm F6.3 OKS-4-1000 mm F11 ( 500 mm with 2x converter ) OKS-5-1000 mm F6.3 Pentacon-6 photo lenses had 2x tele converter too. If you have P6-OST-19 lens munt adapter, you can use Carl Zeiss 600 mm lens of Pentacon Six.
  15. The good idea to compare of price of LOMO anamoprhic lens with similar lens of other brand name. You can see diffeeent. Note. Sergey Kravchenko propose of a set of round front anamorphic prime lenses a some time ago. The set included one or two front anamorphic round front glass parts and a few rear spherical lens parts. You need connect of front part with rear spherical lens part and you have anamorphic prime lens. If you need lens with other angele of view, you need change of rear spherical lens part only. The rear component can have modernt type of spherical lens with more high speed. I think, this can be good choose for low budger project.
  16. Yes, the ideas about mechanical speed control similar at many type of cameras. Eyemo and Konvas-1 had similar devices. I wrote about Konvas system of mechanical speed control at http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=40847 The mechanical system of speed control do not important, what kinds of device of rotation you will use. The camera can have DC motor, spring motor or hand cranked. The important - the speed of turn of main axis of claw mechanism must be more high from value of final speed, because, the mechanical speed control device must have spare speed for control. This is like of electronic system of speed control. The battery give of 12 v to DC motor, through power transistor of speed control. If the power transistor set IN, 12 v give to DC motor and DC motor l run at 6000 rpm. We will have speed near 50 fps. But, we need 24 fps. That's why, the electronic give pulses on power transistor and transistor give to motor 8 v ( root-mean-square current ) and we have 24 fps. The speed control system have spare voltage on speed control ( 12v - 8v ) and can control of final speed at fixed value. The similar idea at mechanical system of speed control. We must receive torsion torque for speed 40..50 fps from rotation device. The mechanical system of speed control give of brake resistance and we will have speed at final 24 fps. And, the system will have spare torque force for control of final speed at fixed value ( 24 fps ). As of hand cranking, You do not need control of speed at speed meter at time of shooting. You need turn of hand crank with more high speed from need value. The mechanical speed control system will give of additional brake resistance and final speed of shooting will 24 fps. The value of additional brake resistance can be adjust by change a position of lever on body of speed meter device.
  17. Kinor-35 H camera have OST-19-144 lens mount, but, have more high limitation of distance between rear glass of lens and surface of film. The lenses of Kinor-35 must have ths distance 19 mm. The simialr lenses with OST-19-144 of Konvas camera can have simialr distance 13.5 mm. That why, donot all lenses with OST-19 lens mount can be compatible with Kinor-35 H camera. Kinor-35 H, at factory set had prime anamoprhic lenses with round front glass 35 BAS-27-1 35 mm 35 BAS-22-2 50 mm 35 BAS- 23-2 75 mm zoom lens 35 OPF-18-1A 40-240 mm. At special order, Kinor-35H can be delivery with additional prime lenses 35 BAS 26-1 22 mm 35 BAS -25-1 100mm 35 BAS 2-2 150 mm About anamoprhic lenses with square front glass, i recommed to ask of real users of Kinor-35H camera about compatible of this type of lenses with camera. I do not sure. Foton zoom lens had original version with OST-18 lens mount. You can see similar version at first URL. But, I know a few version of factory made OST-19 lens mounts of Foton zoom lens. This is OST-19 lens mounts compatible with Kinor-35 H camera and you can use of Foton at spherical version without problem. About Foton zoom lens with rear anamoprhic adapter and Kinor-35H camera, i do not sure. Because, as of my point of view, the rear anamoprhic adapter A-3 have big size and can touch of protective cone inside of Kinor-35 lens mount. You need ask of guys, who had practical experience to install Foton+A3 adapter to Kinor-35H. I do not have of similar experience. Foton zoom lens can have front anamorphic adapter, Foton-A. As for me, If you have Kinor-35H camera, The better, ifyou will have anamoprhic lenses with round front glass too.

You can see, if you need fast speed zoom lens, you will have big weight zoom lens. If you need zoom lens with less weight, you neee choose of zoom lens with less zoom factory or with less speed.   21. To use of Konvas with disanamorphic viewfinder and anamorphic lenses very easy. You can focusing anamorphic lens by ground glass without problem. But, i must underline, i told about Konvas with disanamorphic viewfinder. If you do not have disanamoprhic viewfinder or disanamorphic viewfinder adjust wrongly. The focusing of anamoprhic lens by ground glass do not possible. About standard ground glass marking. If you use of anamorphic lens and dianamorphic viewfinder, you do not need any upgrade of ground glass marking, all will OK. But, If you use spherical lens and wish have 2.4:1 rate, original marking can be problem, because, you will see too much image on ground glass. Yes, You can upgrade of mask inside of viewfinder, but, you lost of out border part of image. The out border part of image important, because cameraman must control of direction of moving of actors. Yes, we upgrade if mask of viewfinder. But, cameramans ask of 1.85:1, 1.66:1 masks. The mask can be black without out border space and can be with coloured outborder space, or set of special border lines on original mask. The change if viewfinder mask do not easy and need take to piece of viewfinder. That's why, you can have one body and a few viewfinders with different masks. The viewfinders have do not high price at spare parts on ebay.
  22. Standard versions of Konvas-1M, 2M cameras have irremovable ground glass, because, the ground glass made on one side of prism. The last, rare, editions of Konvas-2M movement had removable ground glass, because, the design of viewfinder track had separately prism and ground glass. But, this is rare version of 2M movement. If you have standard 1M, 2M camera, you can order of set additional marking on ground glass. anamoprhic marking do not need, because, full size of ground glass have anamoprhic size of film gate. You can need of 1.85:1, 1.66:1 marking, all this possible. But, you must be ready to have a few frame marks on ground glass. If you do not need of out border view, you can set of adiitional mask inisde viewfinder.

  24. The negative factors. 1. The every digital still photo camera have limited work life - quantity of shoots. From point of view of photos, this is big quantity of shoots, but, from cinema side, the small. The similar problem with quantity of shoots of aperture control mechanism of lens. To check of maximum quantity of shoots of stell camera. 2. Limit of storaging of photos on internal mamory of camera. Need external mamory device or transfer images on computer. 3. power. internal battery of stell cameras do not have power on long time work. You need attach of external battery with high power.
  25. Can be direct viewfinder from Konvas-1 or Can be disanamorphic viewfinder, or or upgraded spherical viewfinder from disanamoprhic. The additinal film gates can be " anamorpphic ( mark " A" ) and masked ( upgraded normal film gate ). About original battery BA-12-1,5. 12v 1.5 ah The better idea to use modern SLA 12 v 7..10ah battery. Power cord upgrade to 4 pin XLR battery plug. 17EP-16 APK , crystal sync speed motor, can be upgraded on multi speed edition with cinema, PAL, NTSC speeds, digital film counter, remote control, digital voltmeter of battery.
