  1. I'm in the same boat and would love to have a pdf of the cp16r repair manual. Thanks in advance!!

Thank you for your kind offer!

CP-16R and GSMO Operation & Maintenance manuals, Service manuals in pdf will be great for the community.

  2. Thanks for the replies! That was a great help!

    Hi Andrew,

Save yourself some trouble and order two stacks of 8 AAs from Digi-Key. They'll be spot welded and you'll only have three solder joints to do.

I would stick to nicads, especially if you have the original CP chargers designed for nicads. A properly running camera draws 500mA. A new battery will last you from forty minutes to one hour. That's 1600 to 2400 feet of film. That should be plenty.

    Cheers,

    Jean-Louis

  3. I just got my hands on an old CP16R but the batteries need to be re-celled. One of the back doors to a battery was loose so i preyed it off and poked around. It looks straight forward. I saw 16 cells that looked to be rechargeable AA batteries that were hooked up and provided a positive and a negative. If I did this myself would I use rechargeable Nicads? The batter pack says that it is 20 volts. If anyone has experience with this please let me know. Thanks!

  4. I am not using silver leaf because this reflector gets used and abused by students and the silver leaf flakes off too easily. 3M glue is not strong enough to do the job. I will look into shallac. The material I am using is a diffused silver bounce that comes in a bulk roll from LEE Filters. Thanks for the responding.

  5. Freya is right. This is Magnetic 16mm sound recording stock. This is not film that you would put in a camera. It is for sound recording only. If you are familiar with what type of stock this is and can put it to use, it is yours. Just pay for shipping.

  6. is it 72mm?

    what lens moumt?

It is an 82mm lens mount. It directly attaches to the hvx. I also have several step up rings that I am including so that you can use it with different cameras. 43-58mm 58-72mm 72-82mm If you used all three you can attach the letus to a very small camera. we were using it with an hv20!! It comes with a nikon lens mount.

  7. I'm selling my letus extreme after using it on only one project. It is in near perfect condition. There is slight wear near the screw hole for the support bracket on the underside of the letus but does not affect the performance at all. I modified the support bracket a little but it works the same if you use a washer with it. I'll also throw in a set of indifocus 18in rails. $1100.00

  8. Sorry my Friend I will leave your thread alone now. good luck finding a cp16r. I have been looking around for one as well and it seems the going rate is between $600-$1500 on auction sites and forums.
