  1. I have tested Fomapan B/W 16mm reversal film, and it's a very beautifull stock with rich blacks and a lot of contrast. You can get more information at My link"]http://www.foma.cz/[/url]. There's an english and spanish version if that page. The processing of fomapan it's not easy, as you can read in a lot of forums. Best regards.
  2. Your book was my first technical book and I recommend it to anyone who wants to begin in the camera department. I found it very illustrative in a technical and human sense. Thanks for your work.

  3. There's a cheap solution that I had use in some short films. If you put the fluorescent on a dimmer, playing with the dimmer there's a point where the fluorescent flicks. You can burn the reactance, so don't do it with your expensive Kino-flo, you can do it with domestic fluorescent and you must have a pair of backups reactances. I hope it helps.
  4. Thank you Ignacio. I have read the older posts about Ultrascope. My project is all ext/day, so I think these lenses can fit very well. In adittion, these kind of aberrations are just what we are looking for, but the steadycam operator doesn't think the same... jejeje!!
  5. You can also think about a Red One, shooting in 2k with a 16mm zoom. It's a good option of quality and you can shoot at 100 fps, wich often is necessary in nature documentary.
  6. From my point of view, Master Primes are more "hard-edged" than the Ultraprimes at a "reasonable" F stop. You can see it when mounting a MP on a Red One. Detail and definition are excesive in faces for example. Regards.
  7. Hello, I'm going to shot a short movie as a DP. We (the director and me) have choose to do it with Ultrascope and Red One to get a soft old anamorphic look. I would like to know your experimented or not opinions and experiencies with this combination. I want to know too, if it's possible, the circle of confussion that you wouldl apply... maybe 0'0075? The short will be projected in 35mm anamoprhic. Thanks for all and sorry for my poor english.
