  1. Hey guys I'm looking to create a low contrast, raw, organic look for an upcoming project and I thought about exploring some older vintage glass to get some different looks, any ideas or starting points?
  2. Guy, Thanks for the info. I like the option of CFLs for this application alot.
  3. I have a phantom flex shoot coming up and I have solved all of the lighting issues with one major exception. I have a handful of small practical lamps that appear in frame, and I cannot for the life of me think of a good way lamp them? Any ideas or thoughts??
  4. Okay So I have a client wanting to do high speed, 700-900fps under existing stadium lighting. I'm concerned about potential flicker issues. Is there a resolvable shutter speed for that high of frame rate or do I just need to re-rig with flicker free lights?
  5. Ok I'm working on a project where I want to create some in camera flares and light effects. I have seen this done by using pieces of glass to reflect light into the lens, or putting glass close to the lens out of focus. What works? Any tips and tricks? What kind of materials, angle of light etc?
  6. If your shooting video I would recommend using a waveform to ensure the BG falls below 0IRE to ensure its a true black.
  7. I was always told to tighten gobo heads on the Right side of the head with the arm mounted on top of center. High leg centered back of the arm and bag the leg there.
  8. Hey everyone I'm new here, just wanted to let you know we have a great interview with Richard Bluck who shot the Red test footage as well as 720P full length interview with Ted Shilowitz over at FreshDV.com Let me know what you guys think.
