  1. I know this is going to sound stupid, but don't underlight the sets! There's nothing worse than thinking you have enough light and it comes out looking like you filmed in a cave. I know a lot of DP's thru filmschool that underexposed their first shortfilms (Including one of mine). I know that's basic, but you'd be suprised how many either get a bad light reading here and there or just make an incorrect judgement...
  2. I'd much prefer digital projection, Film projection wipes out most of the color and saturation, I didn't truly appreciate most of the movies I saw until they came out on DVD, (LOTR, Spiderman, etc.) So with a movie like this that's intentionally washed out, I'd hate to see it in a theater. I'll wait and rent it... ;)
  3. I liked Living Daylights alot, But I think Goldeneye was the best, Martin Cambell's films have great photography... (Even his earlier film, No Escape had a Bond quality to it) I think every Bond film after that one has been garbage, They had no character and were just bland. Not a single set or location on the last movies were remotely interesting. It's like as long as they've shot the most extreme stunts and action, the rest doesn't matter. No kind of composition, color, design, nuthin'. Heck I'll even watch License to Kill over the new ones because it's more fun to look at.
  4. Yah I've seen this one too, I appreciate your help! Much Grats!
  5. I like ESB alot, I'm a nut when it comes to color, I thought cloud city worked out beautifully! I agree with the digital characters! Only the droids worked, not the creatures! Lucas read my mind though when they got rid of the original Emperor hologram and replaced it with a new one. That was great! BUT, ROTJ... man what were they thinkin'? At the end with the spirits of ObiWan, Yoda, and Anakin? (I'm not gonna spoil it for those who haven't seen it) Did that makes sense to anyone else? I did like that they cleaned up the film, no boxes around the ships and the model creatures were sharper. The mattes were really improved as well. But I'm a big music buff, and replacing the songs and end score in ROTJ was a mistake. Other than that, I was pretty impressed...
  6. I recently came into an old 16BL 4 and have never shot with this camera before. It works just fine, but I can't figure out this lens blimp! I've never used one before, So what I'm wondering is, does anyone know where I can find a diagram of it or somethin'? I have a manual, but it doesn't help. I just don't know if I have all the pieces to it or not... Any idears? Grats!
