  2. In reality there are 2 ways of doing real Dof witout a 35mm adaptor. But you simply must change the camera. I now that it´s not the point here. The first technique is to shot at a very high frame rate with variable-sincro start-stop focus. In post-pro using the fluid motion you make a 24/25 conform based on all the frames in all the focus range. With the same technique it´s posible to do 2 or more exposures in a single take with a special mecanic or electronic toy. The other technique it was invented by Adobe. It simply a special lens and software. In post you can select the range of dof as you please. 3. I missing something? The spec.: *Full-HD (1920 x 1080) movies are output by the image sensor at 24p (NTSC)/25p (PAL), and recorded at 60i (NTSC)/50i (PAL). HD (1280 x 720) movies are output and recorded by the image sensor at 60p (NTSC)/50p (PAL). Source http://www.panasonic.net/avc/lumix/p...lease/gh1.html So the GH1 capture 1080 progresive image and record on a interlaced stream. The big isues is if the interlaced stream it realy a PSF type of coding to a more compact progresive pakage of data. I hope that the camera it not making some sort of ¨p¨ to ¨i¨ conversion. I´m afraid that the real MTF it´s not make more than 720 linies. Can somebody confirm that? My HDX900 camera with the 720 CCD seams sharper. Regarding the band with. Gh1 always record 50/60fps at 17Mb in HQ. The 24/25fps it´s a puldown like in HVX200? If so, it´s more logicaly to record at 720p that to record at 1080 with less bandwith per frame? Why the only whay to record native fps it´s in MJPEG at 720p 30fps ?
  4. Hello, import the material as NPG image sequence in photoshop an work out the noise with the Ninja plug-in. All the best

  10. Realy no one have a idea about a firmware for this camera?
  11. Helo Exist a firmware four the HDX900 camera? I read in some place something about the CC saturation level corections. Thank you in advance Gabriel Bordas DoP terravisionpictures.com gabriel@terravisionpictures.com
  12. But by over exposure you lose latitude, there are realy very rare situation where you can do it and not always a free-noisse image it a priority. The noisse it not the enemy of a good image. You must accept the noise as a caracteristic of the image, like a texture. No reason to make a obsesion of this. Make a obsesion over the creativity
  13. Low down the sensitivity at -3Db, soft gamma curve, no colour gain, shut down the detail circuit, manual knee to gain extra latitude and you will be able to over exposure a little bit. In a real world, we are deal with noise especialy due fact of increasing latidute by exposure on hi-lights so NR issue it again a pain in the ass. Gabriel Bordas
  14. I apreciate your answer, thanks A link were you will find some images CC in CS3 as stills and reimported in FinalCut. Gabriel Bordas
  15. Hi Michael, thank's, i now about CA in the HPX camera but it there a maner to manual do this. How it achived CA. The only whay to remove a litle bit this it's to spend 20k on a new lens? At least it posibile in CC? Thank's again Gabriel Bordas
