    HIT value

Hello guys, I'm going to film a commercial in 3D. I plan to shoot parallel using Qtake or the 3Ality SIP and apply the right value for the HIT. Any advice? My understanding is to set the value starting to have the cameras perfectly line up then, before apply the interaxial, apply the HIT to have the right percentage related to the screen target. So if the screen target is 13m, the max positive parallax is going to be 0.5% so the HIT has to be about 10 px.I'll shift left and right for 5px each. Is it the right procedure or someone has a better idea? Thanks for reading Michele
  4. Hi Nick, I've found a way. I'll use a series of LED next to the lighter and the on/off switch remoted from an operator or from the actor himself. I did some test and it looks great. Thanks for your help anyway.I appreciate. Michele
  5. Hi Nick, Thanks for your piece of advice. I'm a bit worried about sync using this way.Won't be easy sync dimmer and flint toghter... Maybe using a photosensor on the dimmer...I'm thinking about this option. Thanks a lot! Michele

    sparks

Hi guys, First thank you for reading this post. I'm going to film a project where the main light is from a lighter in the total darkness :o There are different scenes where the light will be created from the sparks of the flint only  To make everything more difficult is that the lighter has seen in the frame. My question is: how can I increase the light from the sparks especially in sync with them? I was thinking to use a battery's car(shorting positive and negative pole together) but how can I sync lighter and it together? Do anyone has a better idea? All the best! Michele
  7. Sorry,I posted in the wrong forum. I'll re-post it on lighting forum. Sorry!!!!!
  8. Thanks for your interesting suggestion!
