My students would love this trick...is this image what you are referring to? I can see dark gaps in the middle of a spectrum if I move it underneath the light, but no green spike at the same time. It's either or.

And that's precisely the logic of the "old school," the way I was taught. Thanks for your input!

"I check the footcandles quite often though, just out of curiosity..." A colleague cracked a joke that "if anyone mentions a footcandle on a set, stop and take a picture of it. It'd be like capturing the sasquatch." I think he's wrong. But if you only check footcandles out of curiousity...anyway. Thanks for posting.

I was trained under a - let's say "elderly" gentleman - who would refer to footcandles as he lit a set. My colleague always uses f-stops. Which do you prefer and why? Thanks in advance.
