Photographers as a source of inspiration
Marcel Zyskind replied to Miguel Angel's topic in Off Topic
Hi there, I hope everyone are doing well and keeping busy in their home catching up on things they've postponed for ages. I made a website of photographs from my travels as a cinematographer. I've been meaning to scan them for years but was always to busy. I kept the photos to 35mm film as they simply just look best and don't require much tweaking after scanning. Have a look, best viewed on a computer screen. Click on the pictures to see more. I'll keep updating the site over the coming weeks. Many thanks. http://www.pointandshoot.dk -
Hawk C-series VS V-lites
Marcel Zyskind replied to Petter Englund's topic in Lenses & Lens Accessories
Hi Petter, I love the C Series Hawks. As you say classic anamorphic look. Mechanically they can be a little tricky as the front rotates but that doesn't bother me. You can have a look at The Two Faces of January which I shot on the C series Hawks. Cheers, Marcel -

Converted my vintage Lomo sphericals finally!
Marcel Zyskind replied to Adam Frisch FSF's topic in Lenses & Lens Accessories
This is great Adam. You need to get a 40mm Lomo as well! T2.8, but one of my favorite lenses. -
Have you considered the Panasonic EVA-1?

Suggestions for a night exterior
Marcel Zyskind replied to Phil Rhodes's topic in Lighting for Film & Video
I suggest having a couple of skypanels on boom arms. They output plenty light on next to nothing power. You can easily soften them. Dial in exactly the color you'd like. I love them. -
Hej Henrik! Jeg håber alt er vel med dig! To be honest, unless your film is very vfx heavy, you will be happy with prores 444. Not having to carry the extra weight of the codex will save you time and space and make your camera more manageable. All the films I've done on the Alexa, have been prores, only the odd commercial here and there are raw. Spend the money elsewhere. Good luck with your film!

Ikonoskop A-cam SP-16 Super 16mm camera
Marcel Zyskind replied to Marcel Zyskind's topic in Cine Marketplace
Found the 49-52mm filter ring adaptor so that is also included. Also the camera is with c-mount and has a parallax viewfinder built for the Kinoptik 9mm lens. Looking for a quick sale so please make an offer. Thanks. -
Selling my Ikonoskop A-cam SP-16 Super 16mm camera. Bought this new back in 2004 for a film, where it was used on a boom pole for one scene. Since then it has only exposed a maximum of 10-15 rolls. It was updated with the steel lens mount when that became available back in the day. Included in the sale: 1x SP-16 Camera 1x Kinoptik 9mm T1.7. Great lens. Made specially for this camera. 1x Viewfinder 1x Rechargeable battery still works. 1x Non-rechargeable battery. Not sure about this. 1x Charger/power supply. 1x Remote cable. 5x 52mm Tiffen 85, 85ND3, 85ND6, 85ND9, Promist 1/8 You will need a 49mm-52mm adaptor ring. 2x Spools - 1x empty, 1x with film to practice loading 8x Fuji film100ft (2x 500T, 6x 250D Eterna) These were stored in a dark cool basement for many years so can't vouch for them. I'm sure they will have some extra grain goodness to them. Selling for €3300 including shipping. (Last one on ebay sold for €3500 without filters & film) Paypal only. Please pm for high res pictures.

Thank you Mark, yes in the old days pushing the stock would have been the way. Now it's all done digitally. It's shot on the Alexa Mini.
